A beautiful picture f the Elderly Gentleman standing on the side of the forest path at the top of a hill looking at the view it's brow is hiding from our view. The snow clinging to the tree's branches outlining their beautiful shapes. The Russet of the Beech trees leaves still clinging to the tree adding splashes of russet red to the greys & blacks of the bare trees.. Artistic composition, beautiful lilting superb camera techniques with sharp focus.

A very moody image--full of atmosphere..Beautifully balanced shot..the trees on either side frame the path and visually we are directed toward the top of the frame and to the crest of this hill.....then we can wonder what lies beyound.The mellow colour tones add to the atmosphere. I would have liked it better if the man would have been taken from a larger distance..ie. appear dwarfed by the scenery.

i really like this exposure connected to life and light and reality,he is indeed lonely but at least he has the experience to soften it with a walk in the forest this shows really nice depth and i love the curve on the hill,,its near outdoor perfection with a story line included in the mix,,hope you do well great work thanks for sharing.

Perhaps he just needed some solitude. You have to wonder what is just over that hill. The snow along with a few left over leaves make a nice scene. DOF good. Color and contrast good. I like the way that your point of interest is off center.

Impressive entry to the Cold photo contest.
The Rule of Thirds positioning is effective as we can view the diminishing perspective.
The unseen vanishing viewpoint leading us to nowhere makes this scene even more interesting as this will impose a hanging question to the viewers' mind.
