seeing all kinds of possibilities with this project. Not to take away what you have performed here.
One step I would try is to change the background into various contrasting colors, next perhaps shine a small light behind it. Who knows, who really cares, I got me 77 cents, move one I say, move on.

I like the title of this and it is indeed artwork, the snail has cut filigree patterns into the leaf transforming it into somethin delicate and beautiful in its own kind of way.
