Hi Annie - this piece seems more grounded or confined than your usual work. Not saying it's a bad thing, just making an observation. Your work historically has had an airy / floating or whimsical feel with soft colors. In contrast you have created a piece with bricks and lines that resemble confinement. An interesting twist for you. The soft dark vignette helps hold ones focus to the center of the flower. The lines are crisp and lead the eye through the piece. Nice divergence from the comfort zone. What a striking work of art! I love the red and gold together, very harmonious. The exposure on the daisy is perfect and the background is such a beautiful complement to it. Great focus and DOF. I really like the point of view. An awesome image.

Funny personal narration per artist notes. It happened to me several times, I remember I have a good entry, and the contest is over or I have already submitted a not so good one. This is so bold and blazing. Love clarity of textures and colors, especially the central part. Very artistic background. Well framed and well captured with depth of focus and excellent lighting/exposure. a pleasure to view.

Beautiful composition making me smile as my spiral has exactly the same color tones and nuances -- great composition, this time more powerful an fragile, the way you created the background is spectacular as it seems that the flower in sitting in a kind like basket well forms and created just for this flower - the basic image was perfectly taking with super focus and expo sue , the center is fantastic looking like circles of life
Perfect DOF, the bloom stands out and the spiral in red gold enhances the image - perfect technical emerging technique, beautiful image, thanks for sharing

What makes your work unique is your backgrounds and composition. You know you can put an open ring(forgot what you call it) with an opening to go over a diamond, don't you? Well, your subject matter is the diamond and your backgrounds are the open two sided ring that goes over and around the diamond.
