Honest, there is no manipulation on those clouds. The entire piece including the clouds is painted brushstroke by brushstroke, except the words which were added for the contest after the painting was finished.

It is breathtaking... all except for the lettering. Change the lettering to wispy clouds as you define the madonna and child and it will be heavenly, truly!

Thank you very much for your review! I will think about your input and try the wispy clouds, but it will come too late for this year, because I have paint an entire new layer. Furthermore I cannot change the post before the contest and the voting booth are closed.

Thank you very much for your kind review and wishes. It might be indeed your first encounter with my work. Do to an illness I have not posted much for several months. This is not a photo. Except the added text, it is entirely painted. No photo was used in its creation.
