I happen to love horses as you may be able to tell from my screen name. I think you did a great job capturing the spirit and essence of the Arabian in this portrait. The arched neck, dished face, and high tail carriage are a characteristic of this breed and because of thier high spirited temperment they are not the horse for everyone. Fabulous Job!

No, I can't say that I have seen the quarter horse. I will check in your portfolio. My favority quarter horse artist is Oren Mixer. I have one of his pieces that a 72 year old woman gave me because it looked like my mare. She bought it over 40 years ago. My only piece of valuable artwork...

Nice work Lucien with your Arabian stallion. You have gotten the signature dish face so wonderful on this one. I love the nice soft eye he has and hope it was like that in life, I also like the fire you have shown him exhibiting in the smaller version. Nice work..

Dainnatilly, yes it was, they are amazingly beautiful animals. They have one of the most expressive, and athletic faces. They breath and demand respect and have a royalty type of grace in their ever movement. Thanks for the time and the review, glad you like this piece? have great day? cheers... LvO

Just beautiful! I love horses and especially arabians. Wonderfully done with great details down to the marking of the horse and the glint of light in the eye. I love the action down in the one corner. Very nice and pleasant to view.

Beautiful work, Lucien. Stippling always amazes me as to the details you can achieve and the overall texture. You've made very good use of the technique here, and created a lovely scene. I like how you've included the whole body of the horse at the bottom, as it rounds out the composition.
