I love the aged look that his piece has, also this has great detail for a bunch of dots on paper, great work on this one.

I have to admit that I know nothing about this form of art, I have heard of pointillism of course, and realise that it it something to do with the little dots - after that I am in the dark. I would be interested to know how/why you do it. I do think this is an absolutely beautiful piece of work though. The sensitivity with which you have drawn the lovely mouse and framed her so delicately with the pretty foliage is just stunning. I love the warm sepia tones and the composition is spot on. Fabulous work.

janrique, this technique causes you to slow way down and really look at how a creature, item is constructed, how the fur, & feathers lay, how the it or they are formed... it's really looking, really seeing that this techique requires of the artist and then there is the manual dexterity, the hand to eye, or eye to hand... that has to be mastered. (hope that answers your questions)

The little mouse is adorable. I love the details and how it is surrounded by leaves. I can't imagine the time you put into this. Wonderfully done!

WOW! EXCELLENT! I love this in this brownish color! The fact that this whole drawing is composed of tiny dots is truly amazing to me! I can see this takes a long time to complete! The proportions are excellent in this! You certainly are a pro at what you so! Excellent! Thank you so much for sharing this.

This is a very good drawing, very patiently elaborated, good rhythm in the composition and a well chosen color of sepia for the motive.
Congratulations Lucien .

This is an exceptionally beautiful work of art and I really like the sepia coloring. This must have taken a very long time as you said, one dot at a time, but well worth the time take. Absolutely wonderful details and I like the way he seems to be peeking out of the leaves, as he would do in real life.
Thank you for sharing

Marie, this original took me a total of 70 hours. The time is all relevant to the size and the details that I want to put into the image, the greater the detail and the size the more time. It the time to look almost as much as the physical laying down of each dot that takes the time... to see it all... as it were.
thank you so much for the kind words and the time to look and review the rendering, as always very much appreciated... take care and cheers... LvO (some of your photographs would make great subjects for this technique)
