Boy have you come a long way from just taking photos, well in between fighting gorillas and alligators of course LOL, but have to admit this one took them all and stand out higher and above them all. The added plus of the star is brilliant..(Bet you haven't been called then much = huh LOL.}. But in this case I would have to use that word.. BRILLIANT MOVE!
I haven't painted in a long time but this piece just inspired me, do you mind if I give it a try? This is beautiful!

Thank you for your More than kind words. Yes this was taken with my iPhone5. I did make some major changes which I am slowly learning to do. LOL...And 'No' you did not waste you money on equipment. I have seen your work and you have the 'Feel' and the 'Eye' for seeing that which not all are blessed to see. That gift alone more than makes up for any and all equipment. This looks "other worldly" to me like maybe a beach on Mars. I love it!!!! I really love the lighting and colors here and the cropping was perfect and wonderful to look at.

Fine textures in superb clarity!
Perfect timing for these waves romancing the boulders without enveloping them! LoL!
Nice soft shades.

Don't know what this looked like as a daytime shot...lol...actually don't care b/c it is a fabulous night scene. The crashing waves are perfect. The texture of that front rock is outstanding and highlighting has made it even more so. Your 'star-like object' as you call it is not over done and appears to be hitting everything in just the right places.
Do not usually give sixes to photos w/ so much processing but there's something about this shot I really like AND your post processing skills have improved so dramatically I think that alone deserves a pat on the shoulder.
