A great awareness for all to see and for those of us who grew up in snow territory appreciate with mixed feelings ,beauty, "Whiteness" and ensuing work to dig out a deep snowfall, as evidenced by the depth of snow on the vehicle...you cannot just "Drive away," The cold colors, displayed among the barren trees. Much work to be done ..Shovelling in my day. Thanks for jogging my memory. orion65 (Jack)

Very dramatic photo of the snow storm. The white and black color shows the intensity of the cold weather. Hope you got your car out.

Wow that is amazing, it's quite late in the season also. Excellent storytelling photograph showing your predicament. Great exposure and composition.

Hope you get some spring weather soon :) Mary

Great subject for a black and white. A lot to focus on here --the depth of the snow, the tracks in the snow, and the landscape. I enjoyed taking it all in.

It's been 7 yrs since I have seen snow. Wowzers!
Love your choice of black and white, but this would have looked very cool in selective color leaving only the color of your red jeep.
But that is just my wish.
Great white balance control Mary Eileen which is not easy to do with snow.
Fine focus, details and fine show of how deep it is.
Nice work!

Thank you. For some reason the red of the Jeep didn't show very well like my other one

Ahhh, life in the snow belt. This is what I will be up against tomorrow. We are expecting 24" to 30" as well.

Excellent choice to convert to B&W. Somehow monochrome and snow just go together.

DOF is deep. Focusing is spot on.

Composition and framing are fine.

Makes me shiver just looking at it. Please be careful ... B-)) Bob

Know the feeling although now living in Thailand I wouldn't have to do this anymore.

It would have been nice to have a person in there to see him/her struggle :-)

Thanks for sharing

So much fun Mary Eileen huh! lol...It is STILL snowing here where I am and we already have gotten over two feet!! My front steps disappeared at least a couple of hours ago.

Perfectly crisp and sharp photo here....your vertical format stresses the depth of the snow. Glad to read you got some help digging your Jeep out. Exposure for snow is fine.

Going to a longggg time before we have any little spring flowers poking through I think.

We are supposed to get another couple inches overnight with windy conditions. All road travel in my town and neighboring towns are banned. Our town's plow truck broke down. Really glad I am retired and can just stay home

Up in the north-east corner of Vermont. Best spot in the world....but winters are very very long. Most welcome for the review Mary E. just had to share your pain...lol...

EVERYTHING and I do mean everything closed down around here. I'll be lucky if I see the plow guy before Thursday or Friday I'm afraid! Wind warnings here too. I handle the snow much better though than power going off. Fingers crossed for both of us!
