I do not know enough about technique to make meaningful comments and so I rarely comment on art work. All I can say is that this image is very appealing to an unschooled eye. Best wishes in the contest.

Emerging artist, I embrace you. I think that with your work here, you have truly en captured the spirit of the artist. with paint brush in hand, and, the look of surrender, we, as artists, can relate. Just a truly marvelous work.

Great contest entry. I find this artwork to be done very creatively. With all the different patterns and colors it shows that the person in the artwork is very crafty and creative. Love it.

First impression was "Fascinating". What a sophisticated childish rendered work of art. It is filed with multiple forms and shapes. The face is almost Picasso cubism but advanced to look more like a crazy quilt. Total tonality is muted thereby uniting all the elements in this work containing and directing a certain charm. Reasons for my five vote.

A beautiful, softly painted and delicately and carefully composed piece, with a quilt or patch like feel to it - lots of lively and fun colours and shapes fill the parts of her flowing hair against a mainly darker background, with chalk like effects used with great effect. Her face is a mixture of colours and shapes too, and her clothing is nicely mixed up with refreshing bold colour throughout. The position she is painted from and the hearts behind her left shoulder top off this complex but easy going piece - great work, and best of luck in the competition :)

Interesting piece. I like the style. Very funky and fun. The use of different patterns in three different areas of the background gives it a very expressionist type feel to me.
The color and linework are very clear and flow quite well in their respective hues.
