A great painting, particularly done in a style not familiar to you. The piece is beautifully composed, the only problem I have which is why I have reluctantly dropped 1/2 a star is that it is TOO white - I know the competition is for white art but I think some of the colours would have perhaps worked better with some contrast, like the plants to the left and right of the path and the cliffs could have been topped up a little further. But either way this is subjective and the depth is great and this frosty, wintry scene, showing the scale well too with the high cliffs and the icy clouds painted with great accuracy and detail. The plants and path lea dig to the water give good perspective - a fine piece and best of luck in the comp! :)

Thank you so much. I actually had a little more contrast but it looked too yellow for the contest. So I changed it. LOL. The hardest thing for me is knowing when to stop fiddling.

Interesting work.Painting only in white (or black) is a difficult task, but you have cleverly introduced the pastel shades to bring out the best in white! Overall it is appealing. Good luck!

This has a dream like quality to it. The high quality of white hues causes me to think of Heavenly purity. What I truly like are the two birds gliding through the canvass. This is a magnificent portrait of beauty.

I admire anyone who can do this beautiful work with pastels. This is very attractive, and I had to keep looking at it. The more I looked the more I liked it. The sky shows movement over the still water, and the placement of the brush is just perfect.

Hazy overtone.
Subtle illumination as opposed to high key rendition...

This is a great example for the contest. Just using theses colors did make it well.I,ve heard before that you should use 5 different shades of white, but with this piece I think you broke the consensuses. Great work

You have created a very interesting piece of art. I like the imagination you used in doing this artwork. I would not have thought that limiting yourself to whites would be possible to produce an attractive landscape scene with so much detail. Very well done and enjoyable.
