This is a great contest entry. I like how the spirit like fog is overlapped on the grave site. It makes it seem like there are spirits floating around in the cemetery. Making it monochromatic was a good choice as it emanates a mysterious mood. Good luck in the contest.

Hi there.. thanks for sharing this amazingly mind boggling photo taken in the cemetery with your own additions to make it look totally spiritual.. How you achieved that effect is unknown territory to me, but wow.. the result is unbelievably grand, given the title of your scene. I love the central big black tree trunk that give the picture excellent balance and a focal point from which the eyes spread in every direction. The scattered deciduous trees with their arching branches are a wonderful compliment to the background and offer good depth of field to your photo. drawing the eyes to the tomb stones spread amongst them.. I love the hue over the entire scene. it is somewhat serene and blends itself nicely to that spiritual feel.. The tomb stones in the foreground show that this cemetery has existed for over a century and perhaps that large tree has been there for many long years spreading its branches over those now passed. As for the spiritual visitor in your scene. Oh my... that is just insane.. and it looks so brilliant stretching its strange appearance from the foreground all the way up into the lower arches of that central tree. almost looks like legs in the foreground and long outstretched arms heading towards that tree.. spooky,, yes.. and so befitting for your title.. the ground has a rustic appearance of fallen leaves, and maybe scattered snow flakes that give rise to some form of life in this desolate isolated resting place.. Excellent exposure and good clarity .. in this well balanced scene that sparks the imagination in a most interesting and spiritual way. a pleasure to review. best of luck in the contest. cheers mel

Initial impact is powerful! This is an incredible artistic rendering! Very well photographed with nice sharp focus,wonderful variety of textures and awesome detail in this,this has a spooky feel , it does look like a ghostly spirit is moving about! I didn't quite know what this contest was after, but this surely must be it. A very nice image with well chosen layers. The smoke really adds interest and suggests a spiritual presence and the grave yard is beautifully recorded. Best of luck in the contest.
