Hi Linda thanks for sharing this delightful painting and the story to accompany your art. I love the title and it has so much depth of meaning within those few words. Your Tree is beautifully rendered with its strong root system grasping firmly in the soil. I love the variation of colour used to render the bark.. the mixture of hues give the tree life and a 3 dimensional effect. Its somewhat gnarly limbs , weathering the climatic conditions have a great effect.. the twisted brush strokes along with the more vertical lines mingled around give that sensation of its battle to survive amid the turmoil. The branches are pulling in a direction of the wind force, yet the sturdy structure of the roots below, remain unscathed from the peril above.. Their strokes are rendered in darker , richer hues to support that feeling of inner strength which they carry to invigorate the growth above ground. I love the splashes of pastel green hues used to represent the blowing leaves as they struggle to cling for life in the turbulence around them. Though a few have fallen, the majority are still bonded by the power to survive regardless of the perils they face.. The rich earthy tones used to create the earth that supports this mighty tree are warm and subtle.. almost a feeling of nurturing those precious roots hanging on to life. The background of well blended mauve tones is a pleasing choice.. it emanates a feeling of peace and well being and compliments the battle between life and the forces of nature.. The scene is beautifully balanced and has a so much underlying meaning hidden within those spreading bows and anchoring roots.. Thanks for sharing this excellent artwork and well wishes for your dear friend.. May love and support give her the strength she needs to battle through.. a true pleasure to review. cheers mel

This is so beautiful and your entire title is so touching and heartfelt. I love the inspirational statement and story.
The art is also amazing and portrays everything in the statement. Wonderfully symbolic of faith to me, and a good solid anchor on which to trust. I love the colors and hope this gives strength to anyone who read it.

This is truly a lovely tree. It makes me think of a Tanya Tucker song, Strong Enough to Bend.
Also like your avatar.
You've done a great job with the movement of the wind, the blowing of the branches and leaves on them and those that are falling off.
No fear of falling with those strongly rooted branches.
Wonderful inspirational piece for your friend. I will be sure to say a prayer for your friend tonight. Having a stroke is really an awful thing. My mom had one almost 5 years ago. Hopefully your friend can recover as well as my mom.

I wish I had a six to award this! What a beautiful work of art and a beautiful message you present with it! I love trees to begin with and you have such beautiful detail and colors and motion it's just incredible to view! I can see the effect of the wind on the tree in the way you formed it and the leaves that are blowing away! I love this! Thank you for sharing !
