This is quite a creative entry for this contest, and I am impressed by all the items you own to make up a set up like this. I am not so sure I would have scull looking at me when I read in bed though. LOL
The all black background is very effective, and I also like a lot the limited color pallet. Your photo is also sharp showing clear and well defined details, and the exposure is just perfect.
The way you have placed all the items within the frame makes for a good and well balanced composition, and the format and framing is perfect. Indeed a great looking and well taken photo, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Evokes some idea of Edgar Allen Poe,very expressive photograph and I have a feeling it will do well in the competition. I would have loved to have this idea and than painted it, your photo does the composition justice.

You're welcome. I did a Halloween one in charcoal, you should check it out. Now I want to go and find things like this and make a great drawing of it.

These are props I had left over from Halloween 2 yrs ago. A little creativity and post processing can go a long way to making and interesting photo or painting.

High marks for creativity for sure and also for the theme. The crow turned inward into a dark area, as it is dark takes away some details that otherwise might give it a stronger presentation, but nevertheless a good entry for this particular contest, all the best

Interesting and well composed still life. I am not sure what the light orange item is on the back of the composition, you should either show more of it or delete it. While this is not my cup of tea, I know some people that would love it. Good lighting. Nicely conceived. Good luck in the contest.
