Nice info notes.
Well timed still motion shot.
Sharply focused.
Fine features & fluffy textures.
Drought stricken backdrop pops out black subject nicely.
Nice perspective & narrow DOF.
Thanks for sharing...

I have seen a single pair attack a sandhill crane that had inadvertently wandered too close to their nest. A very fine shot with great colors and excellent detail.

Thank you very much Mike :) I have seen these guys dive bomb geese too! Today I saw one go after goslings swimming with their mama.

Camera settings are spot on here G~Lu! Great capture of the handsome Red Wing as he flies by. They are extremely fast and can turn on a dime in the air.
I never captured one in flight yet since they are always on the railings posing for me.
This is a hard shot to take and I am very impressed with the clarity on the bird and the soft dreamy DOF.
You even have eye clarity with bonus catch light!
Boom!
Great bird photography GG!!
Out of sixes....so double fist bumps!!
;)

Beauty. Love the red wing. I have tried to get a good shot recently but the birds fly off so quickly. With my broken left wrist it's making it difficult for me.
When my wrist gets stronger, hopefully.
Love the background, the colours and your focus. Great job.

This is a terrific action shot of this red wing in flight. I love the way you captured the sunlight reflecting from his fanned out feathers on the wing and tail. Of course the red and gold feathers on the wing are striking. One can tell that he is flying over a meadow from the muted strands in the background.
