Oh Cool,Grace!
That's a fine looking picture of a beautiful creature,my friend!
Being superstitious and remembering what happened after a similiar owl
unexpectedly came outta nowhere and smashed into my friend Chris's '65 Pontiac GTO's windshield one dark night back in the summer of 1974 I feel the urge to quickly step back from the image but it's definitely a really 'Good Show'! : )

That sounds awful. You certainly have had some wild experiences Sean! I would imagine enough to last a lifetime. Thank you for your nice comments about my work!

It was rather intense,Grace! ( I'm glad that my old Mustang was safe at home when that certain experience happened though! )

This is a great shot,he seems to be saying "photograph this"-lol! Such a well focused photo of a beautiful snowy with a peppering of black spots and those gorgeous yellow eyes. This came out very well and you weren't outside in the cold to get it!

Hahaha! That would have made a good title! Thank you for the extra star and your fun comments. It was nice not to be freezing outside, and to get such a unique pose from this guy :)

Your wildlife captures are getting funny! Even cheeky!
This should fly to the glossy NatGeo page!
A cute & candid capture!!
Perfect timing!
A few seconds delay and you'll regret it for the rest of your life!
;-))
Gorgeous overhead illumination shows detailed facial features and fluffy plumage textures!
Dark backdrop pops him out nicely despite the handheld technique!
You must have a steady wrist control!
You don't wash your hands after playing the piano or guitar! ;-))
I like that space on the right frame just to place your cute sig there!
More of these please.....
You can sell this to another site!
Thanks for sharing...

WOW! I mean, seriously...WOW! This is stunning, Gracie. Such perfect clarity with focus on those beautiful eyes and that little pink tongue. Your white balance is perfect on this very white bird. The soft light is really lovely. The black background really helps him pop off of the page. I usually reserve AMAZEBALLS ratings for Sange but...this is certainly worthy. :)

Oh my Grace. I have to admit that this is a once in a life time shot of this beautiful bird.
Everything about this works so well together. The pose, the tongue the remnants nictitating membrane and of course the lighting.
You know Grace, I truly believe that events like these are no accident. We may see them as 'Once in a Life Time Captures' yet I think scenes like these are 'Set Up' at just the right time and place for just the right photographer to capture and share with all the rest. We are All the better for it Grace.
Beautiful work my friend ~ Steve

Your are very kind Steve :) I so enjoy getting quirky expressions and interactions of animals, that it was truly a gift for me personally that this guy posed the way he did. I'm grateful that I was able to capture it! Thank you for your nice comments and the six star!

Very interesting look, I wasn't sure what this was upon first glance. You were fortunate to be able to get such a clear and detailed shot of this owl in the dark.
