It looks like a desert heat making him glow too -nice capture as it seems the heat makes him need some rest using his tale as aide, I never saw that loll,
good close up, perfect framing - sharp focus, the lighting is glowing for sure, correct exposure and contrast, and you were able to transmit the heat into this picture - well reacted well done

He has certainly offered you a beautiful pose and you have captured it perfectly! Well focused, nice clear image, well managed exposure, his colors and tones are beautiful, I love the way his feathers shine!nice detail from tip of his beak to tip of his tail feathers! Well composed against a clear background offering a good look without distractions! Well presented!

I have to agree. The sunlight creates such pretty green jewel tones in what would normally seem like plain dark plumage. I like the way those greenish hues are repeated in its Bill

His belly and chest glow's like silver. His colors are indeed well emphasized. His plumage shows well defined detail. His erect pose is intriguing. The composition is balanced. The photo is focused and well framed.

He's a rather stately looking little 'beastie',isn't he,Grace?
And your photograph of him, surveying the area,is a lot of fun to look at! : D
