This is a great capture. The perspective, the DOF, the clarity, the detail and the overall composition are great. The detail of the bubbles aided by the surrounding mountain and their reflections makes this shot a winner in all regards.

This would have been a perfect entry for the Cold contest, Pat! Lovely capture showing the air bubbles under the ice on the Lake - love all the different shapes and patterns and the clear reflection of the snowy mountains in the glassy water. Excellent lighting and focus showing a lovely crisp image. Great composition. Suzanne

A very beautiful & interesting & unusual sight displayed for us on this Island with neither winter or Summer to write home about most years. The rising bubbles under the ice covered lake look out of this world under the clear blue sky that is reflected on the ice beautifully framed by the mountains snow covering their slopes rising up from the lake's shores. Artistic composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

A very beautiful & interesting & unusual sight displayed for us on this Island with neither winter or Summer to write home about most years. The rising bubbles under the ice covered lake look out of this world under the clear blue sky that is reflected on the ice beautifully framed by the mountains snow covering their slopes rising up from the lake's shores. Artistic composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

This is so unusual Pat.. What an artistic eye you have for seeing and capturing this wonderful scene of nature.
The unique shapes that have resulted from the bubbles are like weathered white sandstone one would see in the desert Southwest.
With just a touch of richness and vibrance this wonderful scene would really Pop. Just my thoughts and preference Pat. Love this one.
