I a so happy for you that you listened to your Grand Daughter - drawing is a natural healing therapy and by drawing you will heal the pain as you are connected with them
excellent design really showing all her character and life style - it really looks like the original photograph again not even like a painting and that shows that you are a born artist from the best and should not let this talent go down
excellent details work - so accurate and perfect - shadow and light application are beyond as even the light on her front shines out and that will shine forever
super background shades as well as on her hair and dress
a beautiful portrait - excellent in details with a great initial impression, all the best for the contest

What a delightful child, your little Jamie is in that drawing.
Your light and shading is marvellous.
I can understand your difficulty in drawing again after two tragic losses. It is hard to even imagine how painful that would be.
However your gifting is a God given talent which I am sure He wants you to keep doing...this is such a blessing to others. (especially your grand-daughter)

Oh my gosh Linda, this is just priceless! I'm so glad your granddaughter got you drawing again, I have missed seeing your work. Your daughter was so cute at this age, and now her daughter has this treasure to keep in remembrance. Superb work as always!
