This one immediately caught my eye. The placement of the frost covered tree on the far left is very artistic. Most would concentrate on shooting directly at the tree. In this case less is more.

The lack of distinct colors gives this a cold and isolated look which is very artistic.

One of your better shots Pat. Well done ~ Steve

pretty but BRRRRRRRRR..lol..the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of this wintry wooded scene is great. the capture of the light is great. the image balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

Beautiful picture of snow and frost. Frosted trees have different kind of beauty and glad you went out to capture the beauty in a winter day. I am sure it was freezing and hard to focus. But the picture is nicely focus and good balance of white and light. Great shot.

Your poor hands Pat! This is a beautiful shot showing the hoar frost in the tree - really makes the viewer shiver! I like the angle you used showing the trees on the left of the image. Excellent camera techniques. Lovely image. Suzanne

What an interesting way you have caught this tree against the dim foggy background. Your light capture has made the branches stand apart and the effect is very appealing. I hope your hands don't suffer too long in the cold. I know what it's like too.

A very good looking image posted here! Your fine and classical composition offers us an enjoyable view of your dramatic winter location. Like the delicate looking branches. Sharpness and exposure are good. Nicely done!

Pat,
This is making my fingers tingle & my teeth chatter with the beautiful tree on the left covered in sparkling Hoar frost standing out from the mist rising up from the Cook Inlet the snow at it's base in the foreground looks a little like a breaking wave. Artistic composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Well,I'm hesitant about saying that anything having to do with Winter is 'beautiful',Pat,but this wonderful photograph certainly is!
It's very Well-Presented and it has an almost frightening 'eerie' quality to it that I simply like a whole lot!
I can always count on you,the very best Photographer on FanArtReview, to provide me with genuinely interesting ,truly Magnificent pictures and this one is one of your very best in my opinion,my friend! : D
