This is a great rooster! We went to Key West once, and there are chickens and roosters all over the place!

LOL - For sure a rooster with an attitude. That is easy to see by the way you have done his eye. He is also very colorful and handsome, and I bet he knows about it.
I like the color pallet you have used, and how well the feathers are done. The neutral background makes to rooster stand out really well.

I wouldn't have thought this was a pencil drawing. I suppose that is the purpose of using baby oil or Zest It. I haven't been exposed to many roosters in my life. The way you captured the eye does give the fellow a bit of an attitude. Nicely done.

Thank you. Nice thoughts. I know, the Zest it and/or baby oil do smoothen the colored pencil, then I go over it and over it. It takes a long time. But my friend who lost his roosters and a hen was worth the work and then I saved copy and used here. Appreciate your insight.
