It's a good looking Canine Photograph,Pat!
It's well-presented and enjoyable to look at!
That puppy 'can't hold a candle' to your Oliver as far as cuteness goes though!

Pat,
A wonderful picture of that adorable Puppy with his terrier face and Alsatian body with thick curly coat & by the looks of it an ever wagging tail. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

I like the tan colors here; reminds me of those old photos that have that tan color to them. It really helps the photo to have a timeless appeal. I like the warmth behind the photo as well: it's cold outside here, but the warm colors give a feeling of warmth that transcend the surroundings.

Look closely at this dogs eyes and you immediately know this ones a smart one, Pat. He's sized you up already and is probably trying to decide if that thing your pointing is edible or just fun to gnaw ?
Hooorah for a great angle of focus, not foreshortened or elongated. Speaking of focus the eyes have it in spades. I dare any sentient being to look at those eyes and not melt.
Your use of classic portrait positioning and framing make an easy and pleasing viewing.
No questions or issues with camera technique - superb.
Well done ... Bob

What a cutie indeed. You captured his sweetness and intelligence as he proudly sits showing he understands the command. That all apart it is an excellent take. Fine details, good position and an attractive unobtrusive background.

Little Rickie is truly cute, and also I like the way he was looking at you when this photo was taken. I like very much the background of frosted trees as well, and Rickie is standing out from it in an excellent way.
The photo is pin sharp and it is indeed clear and well defined details to be seen in every part of the puppy. You have also brought out so well the fine textures of the fur, and the exposure is perfect.
The photo is nicely cropped, and the puppy is well placed within the frame. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo Pat, and with an excellent DOF. I am sure little Rickie will get a good life together your friend.
