It's good to see new art from you and this is beautiful. The butterflies wings are so intricately done. The colors are all my favorites, the yellow lines streaming through red wings and the yellow decorative trim is incredible. I'm a little fuzzy on the complete black body and the stance of the butterfly, reminding me of a different insect but the wings and color are the queens here. Best wishes on the contest.

Thank you, artist friend. I thought the body of the reference as I watched the illustrator/artist draw the body was exaggerated, perhaps from bringing up close, kind of like an ant. And, of course I made my wing colors completely different, more vivid in color. Anyway, I was focusing on color. Thanks kind one. I appreciate your reviews.

I'm not quite sure if the patterns are correct as one wing is different than the other. As I am not sure, I will not deduct a mark.

Thank you, artist friend, for reviewing and not deducting a point. It is like the reference, only different colors. I just wanted to draw it more vividly and the face some fantasy perhaps.

I see it?s very good. I certainly would deduct a mark based on what I was not sure about. I just really love the face on it too so cute. That?s what caught my eye.

I meant to indicate the butterfly is on its side but with the bright reds and yellows, it may be a little difficult to tell. Thanks again, artist friend.
