A very nice capture of this busy bee; I've just started to see some of them coming out on warmer days. great job of increasing the shutter speed to freeze it's flight, they can be hard to photograph when they are busy buzzing about from flower to flower!

Hi Pat, It sounds so funny hearing you were in the North Pole photographing flowers. LOL I know it's not what we think of the North Pole and it's just a town but the thought does make you giggle. Your fast shutter speed did a nice job of capturing this bee. Love where you positioned him in the shot. The shot is slightly dark but it's still amazing and well taken. I enjoyed your little bee from the North Pole! :o) Nancy

Thank you so much My friend! I bumped the shutter speed up to 1/3200, iso to 200, F stop at 8, it was very bright and sunny.

This is a remarkable photo. So increase the shutter to the max? Did you up your ISO? I''m not going to copy, just trying to learn as I usually shoot in AV mode. Great color, detail and contrast.

Thank you so much! It was a bright and sunny day, I bumped the shutter speed up to 1/3200, ISO at 200 with F stop at 8 I was happy to get this, there were so many bees it?s perfectly fine if you copy these camera settings , it?s so much fun to just get out and try the various setting in different lighting , just remember the faster the shutter speed, the less light you will have.

So the higher the shutter, the clearer it freezes motion, then to have no grain, you kept your ISO low? Thanks friend

As a rule , if you are shooting a living thing, always shoot with at least 1/1600, adjust your ISO according to the available light. Also on any living thing, always focus on the nearest eye!

A good looking nature image posted here! Your fine and classical composition offers us an enjoyable view of that flying bee. Textures, colours and tones are good. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Nicely taken!
