Thanks for you generous review. You wish the beach brighter? I think I understand why but I can't agree for different reasons. It was 5:40 in the morning just before sunrise it's still dark. Beside it brighten the beach would take attention from the really unusual sky and there is not much then sand seaweeds and debris after days of high water and riptides. There are other people who want the beach darker. I think I'll give all suggestions a try an will see what the best.

Isn't is a contradition that while creating some pending dissaster, Nature conjures up some magnificent beauty like these clouds? If one didn't know where and what this one, it would pass for the beautiful sunset it is, without the edge of worry lurking in the clouds.

Yes it is. Living in hurricane alley we have seen some of the worst hurricanes on record. But it is allways so it's comes with some beauty. The beauty of the storm is like the beauty of the fire. It could be devastating even deadly but it is also magnificent.

I love this - its extremely dramatic and full of atmosphere. The effect of the sky is almost apocolyptic which probably suits the circumstances that created this sky. Excellent use of colour and light. Great job

Thank you so much for seeing what you were looking at. Beautiful but dangerous. Apocalyptic is right. It really is. The storm spared us this time but we had some of the worst [Gilbert, Emily, Wilma, Dean] upon us in the past.

Amazing view almost as if the sky is over powering the earth
and in this case perhaps it did consider it .The contrasts are amazing as are the colors .The angle this was taken at ,I don't think could be better
and still glimpse of the sun shine through that reflect on the soft waves
great impact ,beautiful focus ,incredible story teller
and excellent technique

Thanks so much for your generous review and the high rating. Yes it was almost as if the sky was overpowering the earth. I considered the name 'Ike's Cavalry' but decided for the Forces of Nature since a cavalry seam to small for it.

Stunning image, beautifuly captured. Those colours are wonderful and your composition is excellent. The sot is lacking in sharpness in clarity just a touch, but considering your conditions you did a great job. The cloud formations are a sight to behold, and though beautiful to look at, they do hold a sinister message and our thoughts go out to those experiencing the terrible hurricanes. Very nice.

Its so beautifull photograph, realy love the flow of clouds and its rich and dark contrast, with golden shades, Nice highlights on the water. Just a bit darker on the left hand bottom, it can be improve with the levels to show little details. Overall its Exquisite photograph. Well done.
