I would say you have been able to get your point across with the use of the mixed media for this. Love the effects you have used to present this. Nice effect!

Gorgeous showing of this beautiful image. I love the directness you have gotten for the compositional works. The depth of field is great.

I really like this, it is very well done. I love the car the most and I understand all the pollution/clouds that are part of your message here. The little blackened tree seems a little odd in its shape and that the car might hit it.

Thank you vert much. The little tree is burned and broken. I did see a lot of them after wildfires here what looked like tis. The car won't hit the tree, it already passed it and is exiding the picture to the right. I may made the car too 'speedy' so the direction got unclear. I need to work on this.

Oh!!! I thought the lights were tail lights. That makes all the sense in the world. Just brighten the lights and put a red glow from the back end of the car, perhaps

Thanks for this Idea. I'll try it.

Totally unlike anything I've seen from you before, cleo. I guess that means I haven't been looking that closely or that you are trying some new techniques with mixed media.

I also get an almost abstract quality with this - I suppose due to the streaking car and the clouds behind. I'm not sure. Maybe it's because I had to look at this a bit before everything started registering. But after reading your notes it began to pull together.

I like the image as a reflection of your notes in terms of the pollution. An effective blending together of images.

The speeding car appears to leave a deadening wake of fumes and gases behind it as it moves on.

A strong statement for emissions control. Another worthy cause that reminds me of your concern with polluted water and your award winning images.

Striking in appearance.

Thank you. Your review is the most throughout as usual.
The techniques I have used here are not so unusual for me. I used similar in 'Time is running out' and 'As Time goes by'. What may is unusual are the images themselves. They are more bold and direct I think [Using a sledge hammer for kicking the viewer in the right direction]. I think it's these clouds. I've never seen some like this. More threatening than the clouds of an hurricane. Hurricane clouds are forces of nature. Theses clouds looked unnatural like poor evil. I have no idea what had caused them but they gave me the idea for the picture. The increasing pollution in the cities at home and the traffic jams here just added.
You are absolutely right: The car left left a deadening wake behind ignoring it and in the believe to reach the 'bright promising' feature [still green trees in front] but unable to escape it's self made 'clouds'.
    Thanks for understanding.
I'm curious what the general reaction might be. The image is poor provocation.

I have to smile at you mentioning your image is pure provocation. What a challenge and a delight for an artist to feel with the creation of their work.

I think the unusual quality is what you mention - the images themselves.

And the clouds - how much stronger or more threatening can they be.

Combined with the streaking car provided a strong and striking image.

Love your thinking with this one and how you felt about creating it. I'll have to check out some of the reviews and see what kind of reactions you're getting.

Heavy impact with the dark, somber eerie mood depicted. Good composition, like the speed blur of the car with the dead tree bend in the same direction. The clouds, with a bit of foliage peaking out, complete the effect.

I like the idea of the photo/painting :)
I feel the same way, we've got a big problem with the "smog" emission, we really need to start doing something to prevent our Mother Earth.
but
in this art I would make the car more clear and sharp, not so hazy and fuzzy. I love the view of the real tree peeking/elicting from the background.
anyway, very good job.

Ups! I spend quite a time to give that car [ as a symbol] the appearance as it is to suggest speed but also to make it impersonal, not reconcilable a specific car or brand. Gus it isn't working.

Nice merging and energy with this one. I feel as thought the car is trying to outrun a stoem. Color is very good and the clouds add to the mystery of this work. I personally would have left the tree out, it looks somewhat still and un natural.

Thank you very much for your generous review. The unnatural look of the tree is intentional. This tree is dead burned and broken. I is there in juxtaposition to the still living trees right. The car is driving fast to what they mistakenly thing a beautiful feature but unable to escape its self made cloud of smoke and destruction.

This is a very pleasing semi-abstract photograph showing plenty of excellent detail and superb movement. The composition is very good indeed. I particularly like the racinesss here

Wow such amazing colors! Love how the blood red car screams past as if its lost in another dimension and time. The clouds play a very surreal effect to it and the hint of the tree seems to offer a bit of hope. Nice job

This is visually very interesting upon first viewing. You've very effectively used some pretty sophisticated technical technique to make an impressive image. Fine job.
