Fabulous timing of exposure reveals a sculpture from nature that existed for a split second in time. A good crop/composition and healthy expusure played their part in this wonderful picture too. Very nice work and thanks for sharing.

I love this hue of blue against this hue of green. It gives me a very nice feeling. Storm blue over aqua green. Wonderful action and emotion!

Thank you so much Mike, for your supportive review. Yes I agree I was thrilled with these colors very much myself.

Very nice sea photo. The colors give this great visual impact. The wave breaking just adds to that. The color combinations are so pleasant going from the nice sand color, to the beautiful green of the water and on to the intense blue of the sky. Exposure and focus and dof right on. Great detail all the way through. Very nice job capturing the image.

The beauty of that erupting splash on the right is such a highlight, cleo.

Caught at the most 'decisive' moment when the force of the splash erupted with such powerful force.

The real richness, for me, comes from the various colors of the water and then that powerfully dark sky. Such dramatic intensity.

Must have been an exciting moment to stand there on the beech and feel that spray and the wind coming at you. The impact comes through in your image.

Just a wonderful feeling of nature at play with tremendous intensity and force.

Thank you so much Zen, for your beautiful and encouraging words. Yes it is exiding and pictures as that are worse to get soaked and sand blasted. [Truth it was a more harmless thunderstorm the wind gust came at me with about 35/40mph. You are right it is great to feel the forces of nature [with the exception of a hurricane].
reply by ZenTrip on 25-Mar-2009
Never felt a hurricane - think maybe that's one force of nature I don't want to feel. But I love the storm winds. I would think 35/40 miles an hour could get quite gusty. Just glad you didn't get blown away. Sand blasted . . . . well, okay - as long as you don't get sand in the camera. But seriously, it really is a lovely shot!

    Thank you so much.
Sand in the camera is always my problem. But dust is even worse. Just can't get away from both. Especially in times of drought. I'm carrying a brush in my camera case for cleaning. But the worse is the salt in the air.
[We have to fly tomorrow to the states again for Phil's medical. I try to go back on track right away but can't promise.]

Thanks for the note. Best wishes to you and Phil. I'm currently off-track too. Interesting how sometimes we are so much tracking the same paths. I'll be checking in as often as possible on the site. But won't be posting or reviewing much for awhile. Again - be thinking of you and Phil.

This is another cool photo from you. The splash is what interest me. It looks animated in a way. Well framed with nice variations of colors. I bet you can add some nice objects in this one, like a ship being grabbed by an octopus. ???

Thank you so much for your great and humorous review. The splash was animated by a coral head we have everywhere here. Nice Idea that giant sheep eating Octopus. I think I could do that.

You have certainly captured the essence of this shot well! Nicely done with the action shot of the waves! What an ominous looking sky! Excellent angle and your technique has worked well.

Thank you so much Dazzleme, Yes this sky was ominous and got my attention right away especially with the more and more darkening of the turquise waves.
Comment from AKMIDGE

This is beautiful. Nice wave action and the contrasts make for good dramatics. The sky has the effect of watercolor. Wish I were there. Thanks for sharing.
