You aren't far of with the hand painted. I used part of one of my canvas paintings as background. Merged the photo [face and part of hear] in Painted some digitally and overlaid it with a 80% transparent copy of the canvas background. I was going for this effect. Thanks for seeing it.

This is so pretty, Cleo! Love the background, and what an excellent job you did laying in the photo. Hard to imagine what that would have been like for her grandmother. She was probably scared spitless having to marry a 60 some year old man. I certainly hope the granddaughter finds someone she really cares about, and marries for the right reasons. Excellent work, and I loved you story with this. :) She's a very pretty girl.
