Thank you so much Eileen. I was going to use her as the water witch in Undine but then tought she just is an ideal Xtabay. I had to change her face paint from green to purple to match the Xtabentum flower. This colorful flower really is a gift for an mixed media artist.

Thank you. It started out with a photo of face painting at Halloween. She seems to be ideal for the modern version of the Xtabay story.

Thank you a lot Howard. This story is extraordinary with it's roots in ancient times it did pic up influences from the conquest to modern and from different European stories as well. There are parallels to Naiads and the Lorelei as to tree nymphs earth born spirits as roman-catholic mythology.

Thank you very much. The purple is the Xtabentum flower in it's original color.
