This painting is very pretty,and evokes
feelings of peacefulness.I love the tree
in the foreground,and the field stretching out almost endlessly.The colors are striking and calming at the same time. The composition is good,
initial impact, lighting,center of interest, and color harmony are very good. I love the picture.

I like the majority of the composition . I like all the foreground components of the composition . All that works for me very nicely, the colors and the structure of that area is good, nice and flows for me. The background where I think it does no work for me is the boats in the lake. The entire image says natural to me and then the boats a detractor to that message, that feeling of nature, and in my opinion should not be there based on the rest of the components of the image.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review this, Lucien. Usually when I do a landscape, I have this deep aversion of putting anything in it that has to do with man, so I was really debating on the boats. I think you pretty much made up my mind for me...lol. The only thing is, then what would be my center of attention? I'll see how it look without them. Again, thank you! :)

I think the eagle/hawk flying could be if he were more defined and cleaner looking not so blurry and then just the great vista and the lake, unspoiled.

What a pretty painting. I can see myself sitting on the hill in the tall grass looking over to the mountain in the distance. Lots of atmosphere in this one. Love the tree in the foreground and the wildflowers painted into the grass. Well done.

This reminds of the trip to Vermont I took last week while my computer was sick.
There were lots of mountains and trees. This is nicely accomplished with the colors just right and the view right there.

Just the way you painted it; the outlines around each leaf and the fact that all your vegetation stands up straight makes it look stylized but that is not a bad thing.
