Oh, he is so pretty! But the story is kind of sad. At least you gave him a life filled with love. You captured him perfectly here, nice details and a great expression on his face.

What a great looking dog. So happy looking. I like the fact that the eyes show up nicely. It's hard to get a good shot of dogs and not get some red/green eye.

I love danes. They are such loving and friendly dogs. This is a good portrait of this subject. The focus is sharp, the framing could not be better, and the lighting was perfect. Well done.

Wonderful portrait here Low. You have captured every ounce of his personality. Thanks for sharing your story. I love the composition of this especially the way the flowers cradle him and add a softness to his rather boisterous ways. What a lovely memory for your to keep.

Ok, this is kind of tugging at my heart! Old Rokki is pictured in the little daisy patch just naturally drooling away. We have had dogs come and go over 34 years and we wee attached to all of them. One thing. The title 'Crotch Rocket' came up in my posted list and I thought here comes that picture of your low ridding pig;) Sorry for my confusion but I do like this well produced photo of ole Rokki.

Beautiful photo and a beautiful story. I too have a soft spot for animals in trouble, and have taken in a few misfits of my own. Rokki found his place to belong . The picture speakes for itself. Your excellent shot has allowed you to show us this exceptional dog in his best style.A beautiful photo that speakes to animal lovers everywhere.

I know great dane is really great.... i mean very big... I think is as tall as a human when they stand on their feet... isnt it?
I love this photo of your great dane... he just look so sweet with the little flowers infront of him. Those flower added a very nice frame for him.

What a majestic dog this is, the expression you captured in this shot is just beautiful , as the eyes seem to glow with serine contentment. Your contrast are awesome the black coat with it's touches of silver frost of age echo the little white daisies , the red collar that reflects and compliments the eyes then lets your eyes travel to the greens and yellows in the background . The textures and colors are wonderful. Awesome shot , this photo is something that touches my heart.
