What a beautiful, colourful relaxing work of art. The detailing in this is excellent and I love the way you've treated the branches with the moss?? growth. The blue in the water is really eye catching. Great work Shawn, very well done. flanders

This is awesome. I like the color of the flowers and the way you see the different views of them. You made them look like the plumaria that grows in Hawaii. They smell so good and are one of the principal flowers they use in making the leis. The way you created depth, the way you put the water in the background, and all the different greens and leaves in this are fantastic. This is just a beautiful work of art.

Hi, Anne. Thank you :) I looked up the plumaria, and they look like they would be fairly simple to paint. Really strange how the petals overlap each other. They remind me of a pinwheel. Again, thank you for the beautiful review and rating. I really appreciate it :) Shawn

Are these flowers of your imagination? These blossoms look a little like from a Cannonball Tree. But imagination or real, They are beautiful. An invite for a Vacation in the tropics. They sure look tropical. I think it is that sun colors giving the effect and of curse these Palm leafs amplify the tropical aspect.

Cleo, you are always teaching me something :) Now I'm going to have to look up Cannonball Tree just to see how close I came to the real thing. LOL! Thank you so much for the great review, and I'll let you know if I find one on the Internet :) Shawn

OMG, Cleo. I found the greatest pictures of the cannonball tree. I wish I would have seen them before I did this painting. It's the weirdest thing I ever saw, it was loaded with cannonballs. I've just got to try and paint one LOL,

They grow down here. I was right away thinking of them.
Did you ever saw "Caobo de Santo Domingo" (Fountain Tree, Flame of the Forest, African Tulip -Spathodea campanulata) 0r the Tigers Claw (Eyrithrina variegata)? I bet you would like that trees too. the funniest of all, in my opinion is the Octopus Tree [Brassaiya actinophylla].

I guess I should post some photos of our trees :-)

No doubting the tropical feel of gthe image so mission accomplished. The detailing on the trees is lovely and the flowers are bright, all set against a tranquil scene. I'm not crazt about the composition but this is a personal view and can't doubt the art here
