Indeed I think it is probably the most beautiful time of the year. Quite a display of the foliage. Great job portraying the red leaves. I really like the close up in the foreground with the higher perspective on the branches and sky. Great colors. Thanks for sharing.

A gorgeous piece. I've been admiring your work from afar since I joined (a couple of weeks ago). You are very talented!
The colours definitely give this an autumn feel. I like the lines in the leaves. I like how the middle vein of the leaves (the white part) almost has a glow to it. Also has a definite macro feel to it.

The focus is good and encompasses the entire frame.
That aside:
I see interesting imagery.
To me the balance, and composition, both are well done.
The light is nice.
I see a highly creative and skilled imagination.
I see a high degree of technical excellence.
Also I see a high level of sophistication in the overall appearance of this image.
I believe that this image carries a high capacity for story telling

the colour in this really stands out and you really get the feel of autumn which in a sence the two dont go together as you expect autumn colours to be very muted, while these are so vibrant, it is very clever and really works

I don't understand the 3.5 rating, WT. This is more or less and abstract and autumn in the New England states is very vibrant in color. Exactly like this and possibly more colorful. Thank you for the review, but I wish you could explain why such a low low rating :) Shawn

i really like this, but everything is a matter of personal oppinion and personal likes and dislikes, maybe i am just harsh on my scoring but i save my best scores for those that leave me breathless and that I can't stop looking at, a 3.5 rating is a good score for me. art is such a personal choice and while i love this, i would probably not have it on my wall as i dont think it would hold my interest enough. maybe it is just because i love portraits and people more, but this does not take away from how great the piece is, hope this helps?

My initial impact was that this is a gorgeous picture. The various shades of orange and warm colors blend beautifully. It is soft on the eyes.
