Ballerina 8 is a young lady standing in a traditional pose bent over and the hands near her right foot. The only area outside of her is on the wall near her posterior. She is wear a pretty much traditional outfit. My biggest problem with the whole painting is the fluff and how it flares out. Her rear-end is sharply pointed diagonally towards her right hand side. The right hand side of the gown is also pointing the same way, but the left side droops way wrong as though her rear end was pointed directly back towards the wall.

Colors are almost sepia like. Subject is one of my favorites. Contrast and flow the the subject gives an impression of motion. One of my dearest friends was president of the PSA and almost looks like a pastel.
