This is good. Great crop and framing.
Good exposure. Tough one to simplify the subject since background is almost same tone as he is. Good focus, seems crisper on body than head but good.
Dull day so might have bumped up the exposure a bit to help color boost a bit but very nice.

This is good. Great crop and framing.

Thanks. With it raining the light is poor. This guy will take off any sec. I have been shooting 750/sec to stop action, if I shoot any faster I get to much noise, any slower I cant stop action. I think this was the best I could do. Is there someting I could do that would fix this?

I shot one of these my self yesterday for about an hour and half...they are great. I haven't gotten to post any of mine yet. I can tell you he is a Great Blue Heron. And you did a great job capturing him. Nice work!

This is a nice shot of a beautiful heron. You've got great focus on his eye and nice detail of his feathers. Colors are muted with just a touch of light catching his head, nicely done.
