Composed and presented well with a lovely centre of interest and a great initial impact. The colour works well and the light is excellent. Focus is crisp and sharp, showing good detail and clarity and the dof is good. Very good level of technique and ability has been shown.

Great initial impact. Lovely natural colors. The bird is well focused and very sharp. Background perhaps a bit grainy due to sharpening. Good use of light. Well balanced and nicely composed. A pleasure to view.

Terrific action shot - full of drama. I think you take the best Heron shots on FAR - well so far. I like this because the subject is not lost in undergrowth or in front of a busy background. The framing is great and your focus is sharp. Well done

Great initial impact and nature capture. Interesting focal point. Good colors and lighting. However there is a good bit of grain in this image. I would suggest running a Denoise/Smoothing Filter on it. Great storytelling ability and good artist notes. Enjoyed it.

Thank you so very much! I get the grain from the fast shutter speed. It is strange that these guys are nowhere to be found on a bright sunny day, just on very overcast!
