This is a very nice photo and lends itself well to the black and white process. The action in good in the breaking waves. Unfortunately, the digital process is hurting the technical quality of the photo in the whites and it takes a different technique to render them adequately. This is not a problem with film but the dynamic range of digital fails to show the tonal range in white areas. You can fix this and have control over the situation and for that reason only, i lowered my review a little. I find this shortcoming of digital to be annoying and we photographers need to work a little harder to work around it or go back to using film for certain subjects. Thanks for sharing.

Great initial impact.Great capture with stop action of the big wave.Good creative presentation in B&W and fill of frame with water in the air.Choice for B&W really lets you see the action of the water.Rocks add a nice contrast.All for a good composition.Enjoyed.Thank you.

It sure shows the power in the waves! Very good contrast with the water and the rocks. Nice light to show of the drops. Great story lines since I grew up along the Pacific Ocean.
