Sorry to hear about the problem. I was thinking about you and hoping you were not involved. This is a very good creation and I hope it helps with the grieving. I like you have the hands as your main POV with the rays leaving the hands.

I have thought of you often, Annie, as I have been reading about this terrible event. Your photo gives me hope that there are some of us who still believe in prayer. It is a dramatic shot filled with feeling, both grief and hope.

Good, but very sad, initial impact. Very good focus and lighting. The hands folded in prayer are the center of interest. Good composition, cropping and framing. Very good technique, technical skill in use of media to form this picture, and story telling potential. Creativity in title, presentation and artist's notes.

A very well done piece that conveys a strong emotion.
Very sad the inspiration for the image.
I'm impressed at the choice of staying with a light clean look and still being able to maintain the emotion of such a dark feeling.

This is a powerful image Annie and for me at least, impossible to review outside of the horrible events of the past day in Norway. For me, the story inherent in any photograph is part of its worth and obviously the story here is profound.
Your photograph (creation) is excellent. The composition is extraordinary. The praying hands with rays of light radiating from them is a great center of interest. It is balanced with the spots of blood. Your background, a well blurred Norwegian flag is the perfect background, both for the images set against it and for the story.
Technically you are so good at the mixed media part of this work. The rays coming off of the hands are perfectly placed and appear almost real.
You have created an excellent tribute and memorial for your countrymen and your nation. And I know that the world stands with you in grief and solidarity against this kind of senseless violence.

It is an unimaginable tragedy. It seems as time goes by, man is becoming less civilized. It is no longer enough to debate or argue points of view, but aggrieved parties feel that violence is necessary to get your point across.
You picture sends the right message. The blood represents violence and death. The hands represent prayer and hope that we can get past these violent tendencies. In your small way, you are saying that you will not give up hope.

I love it. At first when is saw red, white and blue I thought of the Fourth of July in America. When I saw the rays from the hands and the splatter of red I thought of my Jesus. When I read your story I was saddened. I love the toughts that go with this piece or art. I will pray for your country.
