What a charming shot Willie. I have a bird house that brings back the same "couple" every year. I love hearing the babies squaking and seeing the mama flying back and forth with food for them. You really captured this at a perfect time. Really crisp focusing.

You captured a unique image here. The photo is so clear I can see all of the parts of the bird's feathers. It is like I'm standing 18 inches from these birds watch mama feed a very large "baby". There is so much really good nature photography on this site that I have posted only one shot in that category. I don't yet have a telephoto lens and can not "compete" with this tremendous work. I happened to have my camera at my girl friend's house (we are in our 60's but still use the same term, sort of funny). I saw the deer at the back of her "lawn". I went out the side garage door and got a shot of 10 deer, three of them laying in the grass. It is a "nice" photo but it can not come close to this in crispness. Of course, a telephoto might not have gotten me what I wanted, because the photo is rather wide to get in all 10 deer, but it was fun to take and I will enjoy it. Your photo, on the other hand, is absolutely amazing. It is even more amazing when I consider the ppi of photos on the Web and then looking at it on my laptop. I just can't get over the detail you captured in the baby's feathers. The eye is also truly amazing. I have been on FAR about 5 months now, and I am getting much pickier than when I started. There are really good photographers and artists on the site and I am enjoying and learning a lot. I have discovered the writing reviews (I have not been doing as many as I was - time constraints due to the Holidays) is a great help. I have to really look at a piece and think about why I do or do not like it and what makes it OK, good, really good or OH MY GOSH. This is an OH MY on several grounds. The subject matter and the closeness you captured, but of course it is clarity and crispness that really make this an OH MY GOSH photo. Thank you so much for sharing this really great shot.
