Fantastic shot captured. I have no idea how you have managed to get such a clear image while in flight. It really is lovely and the black background really makes him pop out at you. Great contender for the contest, good luck

Comments: A cyber 5.5 headed your way. You almost had enough speed to stop the wings. I know it is incredibly hard to get the wings completely stopped because of how fast their wing beat is. I have never been able to get a hummingbird anywhere close to stopped. It is still a very good picture. The slight blur in the wings does indicate motion. Very well composed. Did you use a fill flash that made the background dark or did you do that post production? Your focus is very good with lots of detail. Good DOF. Good shot and keep up the good work. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so very much! the flash is what made it dark! There is pine trees in the background and after it was late in the afternoon the sun was down. the flash made the background dark! With an adjustment on brightness and contrast the background turned black,
