Wish I had a six I could give you, this is superb in my opinion. The uncertainty,fear,defiance and anger on this little ones face says it all. The barbed wire and background just add to the impact. I am moved.

this is an amazing picture! one that is truly outstanding and says a lot more about the horror of conflict, than some of the sub-standard war movies hollywood churns out. really a moving image and i'm not one to usually get emotional about a subject, as like many others have become sanitized to violence. because of the features of the child vietnam comes to mind. it was so horrific that the word vietnam refers to the war rather than a country. though the suffering of young children as reflected (perfectly) with this girl, could indeed represent any previous and awful engagement.

Thank you very much for your toughtfull and throuough review and the high rating. Yes the child represents all the children who suffered and suffer because of wars. Those wars everybody knows of and the unknown and forgotten. The photos were taken in Central America.

Fab image Cleo, the perfect contender for the contest. Her face is so precious and I love the way you have pieced it altogether with the soldiers and crosses in the smokey background. Its an emotional and powerful image and deserves a 1st place spot. Huge thumbs up, I would give this more if I could
