I love your rendition of the photo! it has an erie feel. Isn't it amazing how we have all come up with something different, from colour to the overall mood. Yes trees can be difficult. Australian gums have a certain uniqueness though. Good job!

Wow Annie, I remember reviewing that photo. The photo itself was not the greatest, but I do remember her saying she was going to make a painting from it. I had no idea anyone else was going to paint the seen.
I think you did a pretty good job with this. The color of the sky looks very good, and it has a great stormy effect to it. Nice added touch with the birds. You have produced some nice shadows within the piece. The trees do lack a little in detail, but there not that bad. I like the depth, and you have contrasted the colors together well.
Personally Annie, I think you have done a great job recreating the image.

Stunning Annie! Your work is truly amazing here from the highlights in the clouds truly creating the storm effect to the trees. The addition of the birds and shadows have added a realistic look to the painting and hubby even commented on whether or not it was indeed an image! Most impressive with the colors being perfect to portray the look of an impending storm!
