I just watched the Billboard awards tribute to BB King and it was just beautiful. The best part was that my kids didn't realize he did "Stand By Me" and like this song. Your artwork is beautiful and the colors in his jacket are just perfect. Thanks for the memories.

This is lovely, at first I thought it was graphic design or digital art... The highlights and colours are wonderful, The detailing on his jacket too. Man you must keep the sharpie company in business, I bet you go through them like crazy :)
May I ask how big this is and how long it took you? I also notice you manage to avoid the dark and patchy way that markers can go when covering large areas, is it just practise or is there a trick to it?

A great depiction of a wonderful musician. He had a long gifted life. He once said he wanted to die on stage or in his bed. I am happy God granted him that wish. This is a lovely work of art. I love your flower shots, but this is something special. The expression on BB's face shows his love and delight in music. I never saw this the first time around but I'm glad I caught it this time.This is one of your best renditions of one of the best blues singers ever.I love the jacket which really makes this POP along with the black background.The detail in this work is amazing and the one small thing that I think is neat is the way that you did the letter "I" in KING as a crown.It would be great to see some new pieces like this.No wonder why you got an ATB for this one~
