Thank you so very much! Most go because it is the only time they have and a little summer rain will not spoil their day. I was in shorts and t-shirt just watching.

Lighting and focus additionally other camera techniques look great. It is to bad the rule of thirds are no setting up the composition. I feel the picture would have a strong impact of the boat or Heron was to one side or the other of the frame, John

'Fishing In The Rain.' Who says Herons are the only good fishers on a rainy day? A good Nature shot of the heron, contrasting with the color combination on the boat. Well done.

That's a great picture. Seems like its all there, the clarity of the Blue Heron, the rain drops and especially the reflection of the yellow rain coat. Don't need to wish you luck, I think your skill will do well in this contest.

The heron is in great position for its picture to be taken, the limited standing room might make him stand still. Very good details and the little drops on the water add to the atmosphere for that day as well as the rain gear in yellow reflecting off the green water. Nice photo.

With the amount of light reflecting off of the rain jacket it must have been raining while the sun was shinning. You must be one dedicated fisherman. Just a thought if you had cropped the boat out with just the heron you would of had an interesting photograph with some very interesting light reflections on the water, but then I seem to be into light reflections.

Excellent shot you've captured. The way you've framed this photo is perfect and really like how the focus is on the heron. Great movement in this shot as well with the rain drops on the water and the fishermen in their boat passing by. Nice job!
