Hi MK,
I think this is a wonderful tribute for Veterans Day! Medics saved many a life and many times put themselves in danger to do it. They truly were a lifeline for the men who fought. REAL HEROES!
THe thought behind this and your artistry is wonderful!

Great piece of artwork. It really tells the story - and I agree with your notes, the medics are among the unsung heroes of any war.
Thanks for sharing.

Excellent! Great composition with awesome detail and great and very true story. They go in unarmed (most of the time) to come to the aid of the wounded. Excellent realistic deatil, great colours and an honest tribute to them. Excellent work. Well done.

This is an extremely interesting piece of artwork. The colors are striking - green and orange suggest a tropical environment. The Red Cross bandage is very smart as it gives us a great clue to what's going on.The helicopter is a well-thought of symbol too. Well done. If I had to give any criticism it would be that the overall tone is maybe just a tiny bit bright for me. War is a dark, horrible thing...

Very timely image. Your title says it all. Your image is full of action and movement. Good composition: The main figure obviously wants to help the stricken man - you can see the anguish on his face. The colours are very vivid and in stark contrast to the subject matter of your image. Lush greens and foliage not at all what we are used to seeing on TV. This contrast emphasizes the horror of war even more. Good job.

well said, it might make people think as well. My own father deserted the German Army after '43- but people tried to label him/us as well, he did wear a uniform, you were shot if you didn't!He was a railway man and merely directed trains here and there- but did not fight. It is easy for the Brits and those not on the Europeanland mass to make big heroic speeches, I tell you this, I would like to have seen England under occupation- it would have been an eye openere, as in East London the black shirts on one occasion doulbe lined the road for miles from one area to another! Bravery is a thing done, not talk! Soldiers come in all types, not just combatants, something many forget- Wonderful detail as always in your pictures, very interesting work-

All wars are madness, insanity at it's worst. It is fought over power and greed bottom line. Freedom, religion and ideology (Politics)are in name of only. As a disabled veteran I see no war heroes. We will all be heroes if we stop war from happening in the first place. People who do this are the true heroes bottom line. Your image is revolting and it disgusts me. Composition is excellent with lots of action and tells the story very, very well of a soldiers plight and excellent notes to back it up. How long do we have to remember? Very, very well done.

Wow Bro!
This is very powerful and emotional subject matter! This puts them in a different light alright the other side of war the stuff that the governments don't want you to see.
Vivid not only in colour but in your thoughts and representations of this subject!
