Wonderful art piece. I wish I had a six to give you. I like the technique you used. Nothing I can say that would make this any better. Bravo my friend. Thanks for sharing.

What a beautiful creation. This is a great piece of work. THe colors are wonderful and vibrant and the abstract parts of the body are great.

This piece is startling.

Your proficiency in the mastery of filter work shines. The depth of the underlying colours which are exciting and vibrant pull visually on our eyes giving your piece an added dimensional quality and the dancer herself placed on the foundation of vibrant pops off the page all thanks to the repeat of patterns of solid lines. As an artist you know the human mind loves and gravitates to not only patterns but bright patterns!

I find your work quite exquisite and if I lived close to you I would attend any and all classes you may offer.

The balance with adequate space all around provides solidity in viewing - a comfortable feel. The varying degrees of tonal qualities both with the base and the interior of her body further give visual meaning. The choice of colour palette helps to add excitement of the Kabuki Dance, but the dancer herself displays Asian serenity. There is drama depicted here which is what Kabuki is all about, it's Japanese traditional theater and you have nailed it.

I do know as an artist you would like some constructive criticism, but Moonwillow, I have nothing to say except OH WOW...you so deserve a 6. It's really stunning work and I congratulate you for wow-ing me this morning. Thank you.

I really like the yellow and oranges. The purple and green are nice too. I like the shapes in her costume. Pretty face. Nice digital effects. Overall composition is great.

Not true to real life, but Kabuki is dance, theater, a make believe as any theater to start out with. Kabuki is stylish, so us the picture. Keeping this in mind, your picture is very adequate for the dance form. The colors are just right. The white face and red lips of a Geisha add more flavor. The stylish rays of light give the illusion of spot lights in a theater. A truly delightful composition. [I was almost shocked as this showed up because I am currently working on similar themes. What a odd coincidence.]

This is just awesome Shawn!
It's nice to see you back and what a return!! The whole work is super but the clothing on the dancer is amazing and I love the colors of the background. It's nice to see a "true" digital artist back.Beautiful work~

You're so welcome Shawn! I'm just taking my time this year with no eye on a trophy. I think 7 trophies says I know what I'm doing! Still wish I was as good as you are! :)

Beautiful semi-abstract work. Love the design and usage of color. The middle of the image seems to radiate. Very good impact for the viewer.
