An elegant composition with richly saturated colors. The blossom is beautiful and the leaves are graceful. Though clearly not the way they would appear in nature, the elements of this shot reflect the vision and execution of an artist. Best of luck in the contest.

A very delicate picture of the full blown Purple Crocus & it's blade like leaves curving above the bloom, the dark surrounding frame makes it stand out in three dimensions. Artistic composition, framing & soft lighting with superb camera & editing techniques with sharp focus on the Crocus.

This is quite lovely and an excellent entry for this contest. You have taken a simple flower and added character and essence with your technical skills and editing skills and have successfully brought out the best of your subject. Your color is rich in saturation yet nicely controlled and accents the mood with the black back ground. You have not sacrificed detail though.
