It almost looks like a seed pod from a cactus. Very close to the prickly pear. It is quite unique. Well framed and focused as always. Thank you for sharing.

Yet another great shot Deb. This one is at the same time Dramatic (with the spike - almost a Crown of Thorns - like sense and at the same time a pleasant variation of colors that compliment the scene. Good use of dof. Very well done Deb ~ Steve

Hah....what a seed! Never see such this cool seed. Nice shot. Red color ( like blood) and thorn are well captured. Thanks for presenting this in close up shot. It makes me easy to enjoy.
Well done and thanks for sharing.

Unknown and Wonderful to know about. This is a beautiful seed and extravagant color for it. Colors are just magnificent and wonderful lacy foliage. Very well centered and clear. Lovely eye viewer. Thanks for showing. Congratulations and good luck.

Awesome close up work! Yikes, it looks a little scary! The picture, is, as usual for you, sharp and framed perfectly!
Are those little droplets sap or just water.. they add cool little prism points in the picture.
Awesome!

They are drops of water Steve. I took this just as it was starting to get dark...it must have rained. I can't remember for sure...but no other way there would be water so...lol..it musta! Thank you so very much for checking it out....for the wonderful review and, of course, that fantastic rating. Truly, I am flattered.

This is so unusual, I he never seen a pod like this. Purple and green with prickly things all over. This close up shot captures every hair on this pod. I also love the way you blurred out the background. Thanks for sharing.

Well, well - so this is the end? Hmmmm... I had to rush to your portfolio to refresh my little mind on the flower. What zones do they grow in? Are they hardy for 8/9??? I think they are ultra cool. Great camera techs BTW - got side tracked. :-)) Back to... what colors do they come in... I'll google em... Thanks for sharing the different and unusual.
