Superb up close & personal...
I like the breezy, dynamic painterly feel as if it is shaking so hard to disintegrate its antennae, wings & the spiky bloom!

This is a good reference photo for an oil painting.

The cool green foliage lends an appealing backdrop.

Dynamic diagonal framing is always an interesting presentation.

Impressive mixed media rendition.

Excellent subtle colors & fine textures.
Interesting modification.
Great lighting.

A brilliant picture of this Southern Skipperling Butterfly on what looks like a Thistle flower head the sparkle in it's eye captured in the light the feather like scales on it's wings beautifully depicted along with the antennae. How you pit digitally is a complete mystery to me but how every you do it, the result is amazing & three dimensional.

Thank you very much for your encouraging comments. To paint this digitally one needs a good paint program, very fine brushes, patience and a lot of time. :o)
