The layers in the rocks almost repeat themselves in the distant sky,it almost adds a surreal quality,it certainly looks an awesome place,and its good that we see different places on here,so thanks for sharing..brian

Yes this is stunning, Nikman. The colors are beautiful. You have successfully captured those as if we are seeing them with the naked eye. Your detail is excellent...showing the strata, as you say. This is complete heaven for my Geologist brother-in-law. He would hang your photo in his classroom.
Your play of light and shadows is the source of your success, I feel. Even with post processing adjustments it is difficult to create successful light unless it was captured in the original photo. You accomplished that. Beautiful scene, well framed and thanks for sharing.

this is really nice, love the layers of sediments over years here, the wearing of the land is shown well, the different colours of the shadows makes us really see into the canyon, really nice effect here you created,,

A very nicely composed shot. I like the detail in the geological formations and the great perspective. I am not used to seeing this sort of a shot with such a pronounced blue bias to the colors.

You did capture the Grand Canyon superbly. May I ask what state you were in to get this beautiful photo? Since I live in Arizona I have viewed this naturific masses of rock many times. I have even travelled down it on donkey. Quite an adventure to say the least.
With the clouds and the sunshine creating different shadows makes this photo even more spectacular. I really like it a lot. Your focus is right on point. The contrast, lighting, color and overall composition are top notch. Perfect shot. Thanks for sharing.
