Look at this little guy! I feel like I could reach out and pet it. Bees are so interesting but I don't get very close to them. I love the detail, especially the wings.

Hi Brigantia.. Where Butterflies and Bumblebees are concerned it is all about the wings.
Thank you for reviewing this capture and I appreciate the 5 stars rating ... Bob

Hi Bob, The bottom rump of the bee is a bit dark, but I understand why. I love both the flower and the bee. Your focus is right on target and the wings have a wonderful gloss. Your bumble bee and flower are very nicely presented! Love the cool name of your title too! :o) Nancy

Bob,
A brilliant picture of the Bombus pensylvanicus Bumblebee busy pollinating the Rhododendron while collecting nectar . The ligh from above highlighting it's gossamer wing, legs, antennae, thorax with it's honey-coloured bristles & dark abdomen. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Hi Susan.. I am amazed that I didn't get stung on this project. I identified 4 different species of flying stinging insects. From the number of them present an audible hum could be heard in stereo.
I'm glad you liked the post. Thank you so much for the fine review and outstanding six rating. ... Bob
